Setting Health and Fitness Goals


Well, if you are like me you are already having trouble keeping some of your New Year Resolutions and especially when it comes to the health and fitness ones. I want to offer a few words of encouragement today.

I believe there are three reasons most resolutions and goals fail.

#1 You do not have a reason big enough to motivate you to keep going when you feel like giving up.

#2 You do not have a plan. Yes, you have a goal but not a plan of action to achieve that goal.

#3 You lack accountability.

What should you do?

First, find a reason, a purpose, an internal motivator that connects not only to your head but your heart, too.

Secondly, have a written plan with short term and long term goals that are specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and timely.

Thirdly, take action and be accountable to someone.

So, don't give up on yourself or your goals just yet.
